5 Things to Love About Silver Sandals

It used to be that we only thought of silver when it came to evening shoes. Or as an accent tone on dressy or casual styles. Silver buckles on a pair of loafers. A silver brooch on the vamp of a pump. You get the idea.
But in recent years -- along with its warmer cousin, gold -- silver has become a dominant color for footwear. In fact, now transcending seasonal trends, the cooler metallic shade is a modern staple in everything from sneakers to stilettos.
It makes perfect sense, really. Silver shoes are a great addition to any woman's wardrobe. They're not as dominating as black footwear is; they're not as boring as neutral shoes can be; but they're nearly as versatile as either of those choices.
So silver shoes are great. And silver sandals? Well, they're extra special. Below are just a few of the many reasons to add a pair or two to your wardrobe.

1. They Make Everything Look a Little Bit Dressier

1、  Even a pair of simple silver flip-flops will make jeans look dressier than they would if you paired them with flip-flops in any other color.
More importantly, those same flip-flops can likely be worn with shorts, leggings, skirts, capris, even casual dresses. And, whatever you wear them with, they'll add that little bit of pizazz that keeps any outfit from seeming too casual.

2. Silver Sandals are Versatile

Silver can be paired with a plethora of warm weather colors, and it works especially well with white, gray, black, blue-greens, blues and purples, as well as pastel shades of any hue. Silver also provide a nice contrast for earthy neutrals.
And, even though it is perfectly suited to spring and summer shades, silver works just as wonderfully in fall and winter. You know, silver bells and all that.
As an added bonus, silver sandals look as good with jeans and cut-offs, as do with black cocktail dresses.

3. They're Complementary to Most Skin Tones

You probably already know that some of us look better in gold jewelry, while the rest look better in silver. But we don't have to be quite as picky about which metallic shades we put on our feet as we do with the ones we wear near our face.
Silver sandals look great against dark skin, light skin, tan skin, and just about every skin tone in between.
If you're usually a gold person and you don't like mixing metallic shades (I'm totally fine with it, by the way), you can always go with silver on your feet, and non-metallic jewelry near your face and neck.

4. They're Sexy

I don't know why this is, but trust me, it's a fact. It doesn't matter whether they're heels or flats, it's nearly impossible to find a pair of silver sandals that aren't sexy.
Obviously, this is great. Because, whether you prefer strappy stilettos or flat thong sandals, you can instantly up their sex appeal simply by choosing them in silver.

5. Oh Yeah, and Silver Sandals are Fun

They shimmer. They sparkle. Let's face it, silver sandals are just a whole lot of fun.
Next time you're looking for a pick me up, or you're bored with you're usual footwear routine, go try on a pair of your favorite style of sandals -- in silver. You'll see what I mean.
